# Loom script — How to open your EPGC Drive folder

**Length:** about 5–7 minutes
**Who it is for:** any club role (Secretary, Finance, Chairman, Greens, and so on)
**What you need on screen:** Chrome, already at a blank tab. Have a demo member ID ready. Do not show passwords on screen.

**Before you record**
- Sign out of extra Google accounts, or use a clean Chrome profile, so the account picker is clear.
- Have the one-page sheet beside you so the words match.
- Speak slowly. Pause after each click so people can follow.

## 0. Intro (20 seconds)

“This is a short guide to opening the El Paraíso Golf Club shared Drive.

You will use two logins. First, Google in your browser — that is your own email. Second, the Event Register — that is your member ID.

Drive always uses your personal Google email. Webmail is the role mailbox. They are not the same thing.”

---

## 1. Sign in to Chrome or your browser (about 1½ minutes)

**On screen:** open Chrome.

“Start here, before you open the Event Register.

Open Chrome — or Edge, Safari, or Firefox if that is what you use.

Look at the top right of the browser. Click the round picture, or go to drive.google.com.

Sign in with the Google email the club has shared the folder with. That is your own email, for example jane at gmail.com.

Watch the email on the screen. It must be yours.

If Google lists more than one account, click yours. Do not click secretary, finance, chairman, or any other role account.

If you are already signed in as the wrong person, click that picture, choose Add another account or Sign out, and sign in again as yourself.”

**Show:** account picture → the email address clearly → point at it with the mouse.

---

## 2. Open the Event Register (about 1 minute)

**On screen:** new tab.

“Now open the Event Register. Use the address you were given — elparaisoeventreg.scala4.com, or member.elparaisogolf.com.

Log in with your member ID and password. I will not show a password here.

You should see the dashboard, with your name at the top.”

**Show:** login page → dashboard (name visible, no password).

---

## 3. Open your role Drive folder (about 1 minute)

“On the dashboard, click My Role, then My Google Drive Directory. Some people will see a Drive button for their role instead. Same idea — that link opens your folder.

Google Drive opens in a new tab.

Stop and check the top right again. The Google account must still be your email. If it switched, click the picture and choose your email.”

**Show:** My Role menu → Drive link → Drive window → point at the account email.

---

## 4. Find EPGC Root (about 1½ minutes)

“You should see EPGC Root, or your role folder.

If you only see your own files, you are on Home or My Drive. On the left, click Shared with me. Open EPGC Root from there.

That is normal. On a personal Google account the club folder sits in Shared with me, not in Shared drives.

To keep it handy: right-click EPGC Root, choose Organise, then Add shortcut to My Drive. Next time you can open it from My Drive.”

**Show:** Shared with me → EPGC Root → add shortcut.

---

## 5. Mail versus Drive (30 seconds)

“Quick reminder.

Webmail is the role mailbox — secretary, finance, and so on — for club email.

Drive is your own Google email.

Never log into the role mailbox just to use Drive. If you leave the role, the club removes your email from the folder and adds the next person.”

---

## 6. If it goes wrong (45 seconds)

“If you see the wrong files, or no EPGC Root, you are on the wrong Google account. Top right, switch, then Shared with me.

If Google says Request access, stop. Do not send a request. Switch to the email the club shared with.

If you are still stuck, tell the administrator your role and the exact Google email shown top right in Drive.”

---

## 7. Close (15 seconds)

“That is all. Browser first, as yourself. Then Event Register. Then My Role, Drive. Check the email top right every time.

The one-page sheet has the same steps. Fill in your role, your Google email, and your member ID at the top.”

---

## Recording notes for you

- Keep the mouse slow; circle the top-right account with the cursor.
- If Google’s account picker appears, stay on it and say “pick your personal email” before clicking.
- Do not open Webmail in this video — that is a different film.
- If you need a second take, start again from a signed-out Chrome window so step 1 is clean.
