# Restaurant Administrator - Job Description

## Position Title
Restaurant Administrator

## Overview
The Restaurant Administrator is responsible for managing the administrative, operational, and financial aspects of the restaurant, ensuring smooth daily operations, proper inventory management, and coordination of events and services.

## Key Responsibilities

### Financial Administration
- **Invoice Management**: Process and organize invoices using Excel
- **Account Reconciliation**: Weekly stock overview and account reconciliation with DW (Director/Manager)
- **Payment Systems**: Address and resolve payment system issues
  - Note: Current issues with payment terminals not being portable to tables
  - Card system complaints from members need to be addressed

### Inventory & Stock Management
- **Wine Management**: 
  - Order wine using the product Bathelomy
  - Maintain good stock levels for an excellent wine menu
  - Develop and maintain a quality wine list
- **Weekly Stock Overview**: Conduct regular stock reviews and reconciliation
- **Note**: Not responsible for actual order placement (coordination role)

### Events Management
- **Event Coordination**: Work closely with RH (Event Coordinator/Manager) on events management
- **Event Planning Requirements**:
  - Minimum 5 days advance notice required for event preparation
  - Pre-order menu choices in advance
  - Note: Oksana may need 1 week notice for certain events

### Restaurant Operations & Appearance
- **Visual Improvements**: 
  - Enhance restaurant decoration and appearance
  - Add more color and plants to improve ambiance
  - Address furniture quality and appearance issues
  - Improve overall first impression and customer experience
- **Note**: Laura has identified that many simple improvements could enhance the restaurant's appearance

### Technology & Systems
- **WiFi**: Address and improve poor WiFi connectivity
- **Payment Terminals**: Resolve issues with payment terminals not working properly
- **Card System**: Address member complaints regarding the card payment system

### Menu Planning & Service
- **Calendar Planning**: Manage restaurant calendar and scheduling
- **Menu Differentiation**: 
  - Develop different menus for different customer types:
    - Members eating sandwiches
    - Restaurant visitors with table cloths (full service)

### Reporting Structure
- Reports to: DW (Director/Manager)
- Works closely with: RH (Events), Oksana (Kitchen/Events), Laura (Operations), Sandra (Service Staff)

## Qualifications & Skills
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality operations
- Proficiency in Excel for invoice and inventory management
- Knowledge of wine and beverage inventory management
- Event planning and coordination experience
- Attention to detail for stock reconciliation
- Problem-solving skills for operational issues
- Communication skills for coordinating with various staff members
